What a week it’s been—super eventful, as always. But I have to say, it’s been a good one! I won’t spoil any surprises just yet, but there are some exciting things coming up on Lipstick on the Rim that I can’t wait to share. So stay tuned!
This week has been all about early mornings and late nights—definitely a go, go, go vibe. Writing this Substack and online shopping are what I consider my self-care time.
And for this week, I figured why not combine the two.
You know, when you dive into the world of designer pieces, it often feels like you’re paying for quality—but that’s not always the case. With trends changing so quickly and prices climbing higher, it can be tough to keep up without putting a serious dent in your wallet. That’s why I’m wanted to share some of my favorite designer finds that have caught my eye, along with some fantastic medium and budget-friendly options that are just as good.
And of course, I’ll show you how I’d style each piece to make it all come together.
We’re starting off strong with the barn jacket trend that will be your go-to all Fall and is SO good, you’ll be reaching for it winter, too.
How perfect is this Miu Miu jacket?!? Unfortunately, it’s completely out of stock everywhere, so I did some recon and found the best dupes, so you can get the look while also saving money.
I so see myself wearing this with black bottoms, a white tee, and a cool pair of sneakers for a casual, yet elevated look. Here’s what I’m thinking…
For some alternate options, if you still want to splurge I absolutely love this Toteme coat (bonus points because it is water proof), this Everlane one for a super casual look, this Loewe one in denim is a unique twist on the trend, this contrast collar one from J.Crew, this DOEN barn jacket in suede, and this other Loewe corduroy one.
As you can see, there isn’t only one way to do a bran jacket. Play around with lengths, materials, colors, collars, and the little details to find the one you’ll love and wear.
