Behind the Scenes of My Return To Sports Illustrated Swim
Everything I did to prep, how it felt going back, who I worked with, and more!
This year I was lucky enough to return to my Sports Illustrated Swimsuit fam for their 60th Anniversary Legends Issue, and it was an absolute honor.
When I got the offer to return, I mean I truly couldn’t believe it.
I first started modeling for SI Swim in the early 2000s, and continued modeling for them for about 6 years. Modeling for SI quite literally changed my life. It projected not only my modeling career, but entire life down a route I would have never reached without them.

I have to say, I accomplished some pretty iconic things with SI like when I wore a 30 MILLION DOLLAR diamond swim suit… yes you read that right…there is a swimsuit that costs that much 😉.
I also got to travel to some amazing places, I otherwise never would have, and most of all, I met the absolute most amazing, inspiring and LEGENDARY people.
From the creatives behind the scenes, like MJ Day and Yu Tsai (to name a few), to modeling alongside women like Kate Upton, (BTW - she joined us on the podcast this week to talk all things modeling, SI Swim, motherhood, beauty and more).
Working with Sports Illustrated Swim in my early 20’s was an absolute dream and legendary moment in my career, and to this day, it still holds true.
This shoot is about celebrating all the LEGENDS that have graced the pages of Sports Illustrated, for decades.
These are women that are legends not because they look stellar in a swimsuit (which tbh, they do). It’s about everything they have accomplished — they’re multi-hyphenates, moms, entrepreneurs, business owners, body positivity advocates, and so so much more. Wearing all these hats, and navigating this crazy world… THAT is what truly makes a LEGEND and I’m so grateful to have been a part of this issue.
The 60th Anniversary Issue showcases that women don’t lose their value when they hit a certain age, in fact, our next chapters are just getting started ❤️.
For this weeks post, I thought it’d be fun to show you all a little look behind the scenes into all the crazy that went on to make this issue possible.
First things first, lets start with the prep because truth be told, I spent about 5 months prepping for this shoot…
