Swimsuits and Coverups That Pass the Hot Mom Summer Check
From one-piece suits that make you look snatched to bikinis that you can chase your kids in...there's a little something for everyone 😉
Summer is officially around the corner, and I couldn’t be more ready. I have been longing for the days spent lounging by the pool and beach.
Now, that also means it’s time for the one not-so-fun part about summer — swimsuit shopping 🙄.
Every time the season rolls around, I find myself facing the same struggle… I absolutely hate all my swimsuits and cover-ups from the year before. I don’t know what it is, but they never seem to fit the same a year later. The color is faded, the bottoms feel a little too tight, or the straps on my tops are all messed up.
Well, if you listened to the podcast episode this week with Tracy Anderson, then you know this year, Emese and I really leaned into our fitness and wellness plans, and we’re officially calling it a ‘hot mom summer’!
And that means there isn’t any amount of swimsuit shopping we can’t face. In fact, this year, we’re embracing it 😉.
As I’m packing up what feels like my whole life before I head back East, I thought it’d be a good idea to visit my favorite little bathing suit shop in LA, Everything But Water in Brentwood.
You guys, let’s just say I went IN on the swimsuit shopping.
"I tried on every color, brand, and style of swimsuit you could imagine, to hopefully make your swimsuit shopping just a little bit easier. I also picked out some cute cover-ups and dresses to pair with your suits, too.
Grab your wallet and let's get into it, ladies!
The Barbie trend isn’t over until I say it’s over 😉!
Everyone needs a fun pop of color swimsuit for when they finally start showing their tan and personally, I love a hot pink moment. Hot pink instantly elevates any tan and it looks so cute on everyone, and every age. A lot of times I hear women my age shy away from bright colors when swimsuit shopping but listen, we’re not doing that this Summer.
I found this hot pink bikini from Bond-Eye and you guys, it’s amazing. It’s one size fits all (which I have to admit, scared me at first because how the hell are swimsuits one size fits all?!) I’ll be honest, I still don’t know how, but by some magic, it fit me like a GLOVE.
The material is Bond-Eye’s classic crinkle fabric, so it’s insanely stretchy, while still feeling soft and holding you in. The bottoms are full coverage but still show just enough so you aren’t feeling too matronly. I paired it with, what I consider the best, button up beach cover up from Vitamin A. I have to say, I’m kind of obsessed with this pink on pink moment. 🩷
