From holiday parties to jet-setting and everyday errands, one thing I’ve been noticing lately is the array of it-bags women are wearing. This idea was really sparked after we had the Editor-in-Chief of Cultured Mag, Sarah Harrelson, on Lipstick on the Rim. P.S. That episode airs this Tuesday so keep your eyes out because it’s a good one full of inpso in fashion, travel, home decor and MORE! 👀
These statement bags are having a major moment, and what’s exciting is how personal style is shining through more than ever. Gone are the days of just one “it-bag”— now, it’s all about variety. Between my travels and events, I’ve been snapping pics to curate all the it-bags I’ve seen on the streets.
So without further adieu, here are the IT-Bags women are actually wearing in LA and NYC 👛
Starting off strong with the 2-in-1 Loro Piana Extra Pocket Mini Pouch— chic and compact bag with a top handle that screams understated luxury. It’s small, but big enough to fit the essentials. It can be worn as a cross body, but lets be real, using the hand held strap makes it that much more cool girl energy.
If you want something that has the same vibe but a bit more room, this Bottega Veneta pouch is so good. I’m obsessed with the intricate leather detailing and the versatility—it can be worn two ways, making it ideal for day-to-night transitions. And for a lower price point, this Stella McCartney bag is so chic. The chain detail gives it that edgy flair, all for a fraction of the cost.
Now, onto shoes! I wish I asked where her shoes are from, but looking online, I found a few similar options. The Prada Saffiano Patent Leather Slingback Pumps are everything—sleek, timeless, and the perfect heel height for all-day wear. I also love the Tony Bianco Bertie Slingback Pumps which are under $200.
I am head over heels IN LOVE with this Celine Boston Bag. It has removable and adjustable straps and can be carried by hand, worn on the shoulder, or cross-body. The tobacco color is BEAUTIFUL. I also saw this ami one with black leather detailing which is also gorgeous for under $2k. And this Sezane weekender bag is obviously much larger but looks super similar to the Celine and will have you traveling in style.
This clutch looks beautiful sitting in a booth, so imagine how stunning it looks styled. This is Bottega Veneta’s Knot Padded Intreccio Leather Minaudière and I mean I really have yet to see a better clutch on the market. It also comes with a removal chain so it can be worn as a crossbody, too. The signature intreccio weave and sculptural knot detail makes it instantly recognizable and timeless. I have this sitting in my cart online, and the more I talk about it, the more likely I am to hit send on it.
I’m so into this bag from Clare V. I’ve been seeing this type of chrome stud detailing everywhere and I’m obsessed. What I love about this bag specifically is that it’s under $400, comes in multiple colors, and that there are so many straps to choose from. It would even be so cute without a strap, like a clutch or a pouch instead.
Now if you want to really splurge, I am beyond obsessed with the OG Khaite studded bag, but I also love the shape of this one by A.L.C, which is also under $400!
Though you can’t tell in this picture, the bag does have straps. This Loewe Puzzle Fold Medium Tote Bag in Shiny Leather makes for the PERFECT everyday bag. Whether you use it as your work bag or just always have way too much to carry with you, this bag will do you no wrong. It also comes in other colors like sand, blue, and a few different shades of green and I’m into them all. I found one used in good condition on Fashionphile for over 25% off the retail price, and it feels too good to be true.
If you are looking for the perfect little black bag, look no further… this Manu Atelier bag is exactly that. I love the classic shape, plus it has an adjustable strap. It also come in so many colors like this gorg chocolate brown crocodile material. It’s structured and roomy so you can fit all your crap in it without it looking over stuffed. It’s also the perfect day to night bag. I mean this one will truly does stand the test of time— in both style and durability.
Manu Atelier is a brand to have on your radar in general, I just got their Le Cambon 35 Bag in Deep Brown Suede and you guys it’s so good, I have literally had people stop me in the street asking where it’s from.
