Last week, I got to take the crazy Stuber Clan to London! Scott and I were invited to attend the BAFTA Film Awards, and we figured why not make it into a family trip, and bring the whole crew. Family trips are always so much fun, but also always equally as stressful, especially when traveling with young kids.
This time around it was a pretty quick trip, only four days long, but we still managed to fit in a TON and got to everything we wanted. The key with short trips is to PLAN AHEAD!!
To save you some time and work planning, here’s everything we ate, did, and packed, so you can do London like a pro - no matter how quick your trip might be!
Personally, I like to pack by outfits, it makes everything easier. It also gets rid of the headache of trying to piece together looks with random items you threw into your suitcase. This time, I was very intentional with what I packed, and only packed enough outfits for each day/night. I’ll get into each fit and the details, as we go through our days.
My Packing Must-Haves | These monogramed packing cubes from Mark and Graham, packable garment bags from Mark and Graham (which can also be monogramed), this hand held steamer from Conair - small enough to pack and it actually works!
Travel Day

This time around, we decided to do an overnight flight. Contrary to popular belief, I actually love an overnight flight. I can truly sleep anywhere, and I weirdly love sleeping on a plane. I do my little YSE Beauty night routine, throw on my eye mask and I’ll sleep the whole ride. This time I was traveling with my three little ones so I didn’t sleep as good as usual, but I still got my hours in.
Day 1
Final BAFTA’s Fitting

After a long flight, we finally arrived in London! First things first, we headed straight to the hotel to freshen up, and for my final BAFTA fitting!
Then it was time for dinner…
Our First Night Out - Dinner at Sketch

For our first dinner we decided to go to Sketch and check out the infamous egg bathroom. My kids LOVED it! It was such a fun experience for them, obviously the bathroom is a hit, and there’s so much more like hopscotch, and crazy sculptures…it literally felt like we were in Alice in Wonderland. If you have kids, I honestly think this is a must!
P.S. Grey did in fact get locked in an egg…lord help me 🤪
Day 2
We spent our second day sightseeing and shopping. I wanted to look put together, but still feel comfortable, and for me, a midi dress is the perfect outfit.
