And just like that, the 2024 Golden Globe Awards have officially come to an end.
You’ve seen all the red carpet looks and acceptance speeches, but nobody shows you what really goes on when the cameras are off. Spoiler Alert: It may or may not involve a major wardrobe malfunction MINUTES before you’re supposed to be on the carpet.
But first, I have to give a little shoutout…

The Prep Work
First things first, lets start with the fitting — one of my absolute favorite parts of the process, it’s basically adult dress up. My girl Sonja brings a rack of the most gorgeous, designer gowns, and shoes for days…what more could a girl want?

After many, many gowns later….
We finally found the one ✨.
The carpet is the perfect opportunity for the fashion lovers of the bunch to set the stage for the new year fashion trends. This year, I channelled the rose accent, and the color I predict will have a major moment this year, yellow/golds (P.S. I have a whole blog on the rose accent in fashion…it’s a MUST read, and a trend we should all be participating this year, I’m obsessed.)

On top of finding the perfect dress…I also start some physical prep in the weeks leading up to the Globes.
In general, I have really been trying to stay more consistent with my workouts (thanks to @itserikarae and @formapilatesla), but the weeks before a carpet, I’m especially consistent. Honestly this isn’t even for the physical benefits (lets be real, you’re not going to see physical results in a week).
The consistency, helps me mentally and emotionally. As I’ve said my schedule is insane between work, kids, my husband, etc., so my workout is one of the only times I actually have for myself. Believe me, I know that as a mom, it can feel impossible to find time to prioritize yourself, but even if it’s just 45 minutes to do pilates, or go for walk, I promise you, you’ll feel the benefits. I also find myself feeling more confident in myself (both physically and mentally) when I’m consistent.
In addition to working out, I’ll put you onto a little best kept, celeb secret…
